Twin tower as it is called, a tower the North Tower was 526 feet from the ground. Tower 2 was 417 feet from ground to top. in one house, there is a plateau on top of the deck house. Then there are safety rails. inside on deck, there were shops that you could hijack sovenirer and some candy in the other blah. And from inside the tire, there is an escalator up to the outdoor deck.
The north tower was the restaurant Windows on the World on floors 106 and 107, one of NYC's most famous restaurants. It was New York's highest restaurant and very popular with tourists and for various events such as weddings and the like. It could also serve as lunch for those who worked in the World Trade Center. When the towers were completed, it was the world's highest byddnader, 30 m higher than the Empire State Buildin.
After the WTC's twin towers fell in September 2001 became the Empire State Building once again New York's tallest building, and remains so today. The terrorist attack that made the WTC to fall! On 11 September 2001, a coordinated terrorist attack on the Twin Towers, when two planes were flown into them and caused them to crumble after a time of fire. The buildings fell straight down very quickly (the cases of high-rises were on 15 and 22 sec) which at the height corresponding to an approximate free-fall. New World Trade Center! After the events of 11 September began a clean-up and recovery of the twin towers and the other destroyed or damaged buildings which took eight months. In late 2001, began a re-building process of the World Trade Center, where a site plan was developed. The new WTC will feature four new skyscrapers and a memorial and museum, and is expected to be completed in 2013.
